Barrens, The
The areas of a city that are devoid of life - graveyards, abandoned buildings and parks.

Becoming, The
The moment someone becomes a Vampyre; the metamorphosis from mortal to Kindred. Also called The Change or the awakening.

Childe
A derogatory term for a young, inexperienced or foolish Vampyre. The plural form is childer.

Clan
A group of Vampyres who share certain mystic and physical characteristics.

Domain
Somewhere which has been claimed by a Vampyre.

Embrace, The
The act of transforming a mortal into a Vampyre by taking some of the mortal's blood and replacing it with a small amount of the Vampyres own blood.

Fledgling
A young newly created Vampyre, a child Vampyre, also called a Vampling.

Haven
The home of a Vampyre or the place where they sleep during the day/night.

Hunger, The
As with mortals and other animals, the drive to feed. For Vampyres, though, it is much more intense, and takes the place of every other drive, urge and pleasure.

Kindred
A Vampyre.

Kiss
To take the blood of a mortal, or the act of taking blood in general. Also known as the feed.

Rogue
A Vampyre who feeds upon other Vampyres.

Sire
The parent/creator of a Vampyre, used both as the female and male form.

Gentry
A Kindred who hunts the nightclubs, districts of ill repute, and other places of entertainment where mortals seek to pair off.

Vitae
Blood.

Nectar
Blood

Banking
The practice of taking blood from blood banks.

Banker
A Kindred who engages in the practice of Banking.

Change, The
The moment and the process of becoming a Vampyre.

Donor
A potential or past source of blood, typically a human.

Stalker
A mortal who hunts the Kindred. Also called a Vampyre hunter/Slayer.
